The silent pageant

A must listen!!

Viji Krishnan on violin, and Martin Simpson on guitar. The violin work and guitar work are very nice. The guitar esp. played with soft hands and the violin is great as the piece is developed.

The pentatonic ragam is just beautiful. For the purpose of avoiding any influence, i wont tell you what it is. And this is unnecessary for this composition. You can enjoy it without any frills.

Titled as in the file name: (10 min 13 sec)

Tillai - Gopalakrishna Bharati

Got this CD and i think is really nice! Sahana is the main piece, and a beautiful song 'tillai ambalathaanai' is rendered nicely.

The one that takes the cake is however, Nandan's 'Vazhi maraithirudhe', sung in Natakurinji. I have heard this in Todi, but this tune and rendition are much better, and Sanjay sings it with great passion. The extremely simple lyrics has a direct appeal to your emotions, and the
music is captivating! Have been humming this since last night!
